Annual. Zones 2-10. Full sun. To 8ft tall and 3ft wide with a multitude of purple thistle flower laden stalks that at loved by bees. Seeds are important in herbal medicine for their liver tonic properties, helping to repair and regenerate damaged liver cells. Seeds also promote lactation in breastfeeding mothers. Snip of seed heads before they open to prevent self-seeding and potential to become invasive.
